Investment strategy: Fund uses balanced investment strategy and invests to both equities and money market and bond instruments. Equity investments are conducted through exchange traded funds (ETFs) covering markets in Poland, Czech Republic, Hungary, Turkey and Russia. Equity investments comprise at least 34% of the fund assets. Bond Investments are conducted mainly via bonds issued by Slovak, Czech, Polish and Hungarian governments and are denominated in local currencies.
Purpose of the fund is to achieve long term appreciation of the value of assets on three to seven year horizon. Investments to equities should benefit from the expected faster growth of the developing countries in the CEE region compared to the developed ones. The fixed income investment enables the client to take advantage of higher interest rate enviroment in foreign countries outside of Euro zone and to benefit from expected long term appreciation of the currencies of the new EU member countries against Euro.
Potential risks – tne vlaue of assets is influenced by several types of risk. Given the fact that most of the assets are invested into foreign equities, currency risk and market risk are the most significant.
Calculation of mutual fund asset value – the asset management company performs valuation of mutual fund assets daily per each working day. Mutual fund asset value is determined in accordance with Act No 203/2011 Coll. on Collective Investing as amended by the later regulations. Asset value created by means on current, deposit and foreign currency accounts is added to the value of securities, value of receivables is added and value of liabilities is deducted. Thus we calculate the overall net asset value (NAV) in the mutual fund.
Current value of one share is determined as proportion of overall net asset value in the mutual fund to the number of shares in circulation (difference between the number of issued and returned shares).
Data on mutual fund asset value – data on mutual fund net asset value, number of issued and returned shares for the period since the previous publication of these data, on monetary sum for issued and returned shares, current share price, sale and purchase price of the share are published at least once a week in periodic national press publishing stock reports. In addition, it is possible to obtain these data at the seat of the company and at points of sale.
